McKay was the electrical contractor for this vessel when it was first built in 2010 and named M.Y. Cakewalk, which made us the perfect contractor to perform similar services during this refit. Our task for this project was to bring all of the new technologies we had mastered in the five intervening years and ensure that the M.Y. Aquila, an 86m long luxury super yacht still had the finest in electrical systems available. The telemetry systems we upgraded the ship to contain have allowed us to keep tabs on the vessel and provide continuous maintenance support remotely for the vessel. These state of the art instrumentation and control systems are part of what make M.Y. Aquila function so well when out at sea.
