Jan is a highly skilled Automation Engineer with over 25 years of experience in control systems across the marine and industrial sectors. He joined McKay in 2020 from Bridgestone South Africa, where he led plant automation and system design.
At McKay, Jan was the lead automation engineer for the Ika Rere electric ferry. He became the first engineer outside Danfoss Editron to independently commission their system, making him one of the most qualified third-party Danfoss integrators globally. He specialises in PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, and helped develop McKay’s EVCAM system for advanced vessel control. As a skilled disruption planner, Jan identifies risks early and implements solutions to ensure smooth, delay-free project delivery.
