Andreas has been directly involved in the electrical industry for 30 years in New Zealand and the USA. In addition to his extensive knowledge covering all aspects of electrical design, he possesses strong management skills that enable him to provide clear leadership to his teams.
This includes an emphasis on compliance with safety requirements, high-quality work, and coordination with other design areas. This contributes to maximising time efficiencies and avoiding unnecessary delays during construction. Andreas has a keen appreciation for cost management and the client’s necessity to have a contract delivered on time and within budget. He will apply his skills and experience to oversee and fulfil all necessary design and build requirements in support of the contracts manager, quality audits of as-built projects, and Pillar/Montrose box design. He will also provide asset inspection, design, and general electrical engineering advice and assistance as needed. Additionally, Andreas is responsible for the development and implementation of McKay’s software solutions to deliver innovation and a distinctive edge, such as electronic time sheeting and the Sidewinder asset database system.
